Verse 1:
the thoughts that to come to mind right now
don't seem to belong
but later on I don't know how
they'll turn into a song
it's wonderful without precedent
like a magic spell
all the unplanned accidents
that fit together well

Refrain:
usually I don't think I just let it flow
balanced on the brink of what I don't know
I watch in amazement as words fill the page
the thoughts of a lunatic not a sage

Verse 2:
do those you who do not write
wonder what we think of
we sit alone late at night
and blindly speak of love
is there any rhyme or reason
to the things I've said
is it simply an expulsion
of the thoughts in my head

when I try to work it out
it all just falls apart
I am better off without a doubt
relying on my heart
my mind is so controlled
by the future and the past
forget all you've been told
and be free at last
